Research Page Style Guide

This guide records the conventions used in research.md. Follow the existing entries when adding or revising a paper.

Colors and links

• Use #6991C2 for paper titles and supplementary-resource links such as slides, code, and talks.
• Use #132147 for linked coauthor names.
• Use #ED7041 for short, time-sensitive announcements such as “New draft, August 2026.”
• Set text-decoration: none; on both the outer <span> and the <a> element.
• Bold paper titles inside the link.
• Link published papers to the official publisher page. Link working papers to the preferred paper page, such as arXiv or a local PDF.
• Link coauthors to their personal or professional websites when available. Leave Kyohei Okumura and authors without a suitable webpage as plain text.

Use a short code-styled label inside square brackets.

Other standard labels include [`+code`] and [`+talk`].

When several resources should appear on the same rendered line, omit the two-space hard break after every resource except the last one.

Author lists

• Do not begin an author list with “with.”
• Put one author on each source line. Markdown will render these lines as one continuous author list unless a line ends with two spaces.
• Use commas between authors and “and” before the final author.
• End the final author line with two spaces to create a hard line break before resources or publication information.
• Keep the author order from the paper.
• For readability, and may appear on its own source line when the final author’s HTML link makes the line long.

Use this order:

1. Paper title.
2. Author list.
3. Optional slides or other resources.
4. Optional highlighted announcement.
5. Editorial status or presentation notes.

Indent status and note blocks with a separate      line. Italicize the full editorial-status line, but do not bold the journal or conference name.

Accepted and published entries

Use this order:

1. Paper title linked to the official publisher page.
2. Optional code, talk, or other resource links.
3. Author list.
4. Indented venue and year.

Italicize the whole publication line without bolding the venue name. Keep the citation compact: venue and year, without volume, issue, page, or month details.

Omit the optional resource lines when they do not apply.

For an accepted paper that does not yet have final publication details, use an indented acceptance line instead of inventing a year:

Spacing and source formatting

• Preserve two trailing spaces wherever Markdown needs a hard line break.
• Separate paper entries with two blank lines.
• Keep each author and each event note on its own source line for maintainability.
• Use straight apostrophes in source text, such as EC'25, unless an official title requires otherwise.
• Keep visible prose concise. Omit “with” and full bibliographic details when the section heading or compact venue-and-year format already conveys the needed information.

Review checklist

• The title points to the preferred paper or publisher page.
• Published-paper details have been verified against the official publisher website.
• Paper and resource links use #6991C2.
• Linked coauthors use #132147.
• Author order and punctuation are correct.
• The final author line and other intended hard breaks end with two spaces.
• Venue formatting follows *Venue, Year*; journal and conference names are not bolded.
• The rendered HTML preview has been checked after editing.
